Executive Director of Hispanic League Set to Embark on Exciting New Journey

Winston-Salem, NC- Carla Catalán Day (she/her/ella), Executive Director of Hispanic League, is stepping down to pursue an exciting new leadership role. During her impactful tenure, Day’s visionary strategic planning and dedication to empowering her team have left a lasting legacy. Among her most notable accomplishments are a remarkable 344% increase in scholarship applicants, raising over $160,000 for the scholarship program, and launching the inaugural PyME’s Business Summit. Additionally, she spearheaded the successful restructuring of the organization’s budgeting processes and the implementation of inclusive practices, positioning Hispanic League for continued growth and success in its next chapter.

"This new opportunity will allow me to seek out, encourage, and cultivate a new generation of community and civic leaders for North Carolina,” said Day. “Compassionate leaders are among us, and I’m excited to join a team dedicated to finding, nurturing, and equipping them with the tools they need to succeed. Diane Massas has been appointed as Interim Executive Director during the transition period.
